Town of Schodack Day Camp

Applications for employment are now (3/3) available online or at the Schodack Town Hall. The deadline for applications is April 30, 2014. Please complete and return all forms to the Schodack Town Hall. Persons submitting an incomplete application will not be considered for employment. If you are not selected for employment, or placed on the substitute list, forms will be returned to you.

Proper identification must be attached to the I-9 Employment Verification Form. Read this form carefully and thoroughly. Town Hall offices will NOT provide photocopying services. You must obtain those before submitting your application. All required photocopies must be attached to your application. The insurance waiver form and retirement form must be completed by all applicants. Complete all tax forms to expedite the payroll process.

All applicants under the age of 18 must submit a copy of their current working card. All applicants must be 16 years of age by July 7, 2014. If you are not 16 during the application process, please submit your working card for 15 years of age and replace it accordingly when you turn 16. Information regarding working cards can be obtained through your high school guidance office. This process takes some time so start it immediately.

When requesting a confidential reference from someone, please be sure to fill out the front of the confidential reference from so that people know who you are and exactly what position you are seeking employment. Attach a stamped envelope addressed to Sheila Golden at the Schodack Town Hall. You must do everything possible to make the reference process as easy as possible for the people you would like to recommend you.

The 2014 Day camp season runs from July 7, 2014 through August 1, 2014. You must be available to work from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m each and every camp-day throughout the season. If selected for employment, you will be expected to attend an orientation some time in the beginning of June. The exact date of this orientation will be given to you when you are hired.

Camper-parents and campers: The Town of Schodack Day Camp will run from July 7, 2014 through August 1, 2014. The cost for the four weeks of camp will be $100.00 per child with a family rate for three or more children of $250.00. The camp is open to all Schodack resident children entering grades Kindergarten through eighth grade. The camp will once again offer busing to the different sites. The following sites will be used for camp:

  • Kindergarten & 1st grade - Castleton Elementary School
  • 2nd & 3rd grade - Castleton Elementary School
  • 4th & 5th grade - Maple Hill Middle School
  • 6th through 8th grades - Maple Hill Middle School

Applications for the camp will be available online or at the Schodack Town Hall beginning May 1, 2014 and due back to the Town Hall no later than June 2, 2014.
