Youth and Recreation Services The Town of Schodack Day Camp for resident children will run from July 7th through August 1st. The program will operate from Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. We will once again offer a bus service. Bus applications will be included in the registration packet. Registration packets will be available during regular business hours at the Town Hall beginning May 1st. Completed packets are due back to the Town Hall no later than June 1st. Due to the large amount of planning, ordering and scheduling, late registrations will not be accepted. Please be sure to abide by all deadlines. Registration is $75.00 per child, with $175.00 maximum per family. Campers will participate in the Learn-to Swim Program, music, arts and crafts, science/nature class, games, contests, sports and field trips. The camp will swim on a daily basis at the Evergreen Country Club. The children will be grouped according to age/grade with approximately 10-12 campers per Day Camp counselor for the older children and 4-6 campers per counselor for the younger children. Due to the upcoming construction on several of the buildings, the actual day camp sites have yet to be decided. Information will be posted as it becomes available. Applications for employment with the Town of Schodack Day Camp will be available at the Schodack Town Hall from March 3rd through April 30th. All applicants must be 16 years of age by July 7, 2008 and have an updated working card at the time of application. Please be certain that your calendar is clear for the entire period without conflict. No exceptions will be made for prior commitments other than college orientation. The summer day camp program is a four (4) week program that runs from July 7, 2008 through August 1, 2008. The camp runs Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Please be certain that your calendar is clear for the entire period without conflict. All summer recreation employees must attend a camp orientation the first week of June at the Schodack Town Hall. The exact date will be given to you if you are hired. If selected for employment, please reserve this date your Site Director gives you. All employees are expected to attend camp orientation. Please return the completed forms promptly and inclusively. Employment applications will not be considered without all required information as outlined in the application. The deadline for all applications is April 30, 2008.
