I hope you enjoyed the 2010 Day Camp season. The changes in the structure of the camp were well received by campers of all ages. Please feel free to offer any feedback you have regarding the camp by e-mailing me at youthdirector@schodack.org. Here are a few dates and reminders for next year's season:

  • Applications for employment for the 2011 Day Camp season will be available online or at the Town Hall beginning March 3, 2011.
  • Completed applications will be due back to the Town Hall no later than April 29, 2011. Incomplete applications, applications without a copy of a working card, or late applications will not be considered for employment. All applicants must be 16 years of age by July 11, 2011 and have a working card. If you are only 15 years of age at the time of hiring you must submit your 15 year old working card and replace it when you reach the age of 16. Working cards can be obtained from the high school guidance counselor. Obtaining a working card takes time and anyone considering employment with the Day Camp should not wait until the last minute to start this process.

The 2011 Day Camp season will run from July 11, 2011 through August 5, 2011. The camp will once again swim at the Albany Jewish Community Center located on Whitehall road in Albany. When registering your child, please remember:

  • Applications will be available online or at the Town Hall beginning May 2, 2011.
  • Completed applications will be due back at the Town Hall no later than June 1, 2011.
  • All applications received by June 1, 2011 will be registered for camp. Applications received later than June 1st will be put on a waiting list.
  • Immunizations and completed health histories will be due at the time of registration.
  • Schools will no longer be able to copy/and or fax immunization records. Copies of immunizations must be obtained directly from your child's doctor, so please plan accordingly.
  • All requests regarding grouping should be written on the application at the time of registration.

Evening soccer will begin July 12th and run every Monday and Wednesday for 5 weeks. Soccer sessions will run from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on the field inside the Maple Hill High School track.

Please email any questions.
