About the Town Supervisor

Charles J. Peter was elected Town Supervisor in November, 2021 and assumed office on January 1, 2022. Previously, he represented Schodack, Sand Lake, and Nassau as a District 4 Rensselaer County Legislator.

Chuck is a lifetime resident and grew up on his family’s farm on Brookview Road just outside the Village of Castleton where he still lives and works today. Chuck and his wife Cathleen have two daughters, Emma and Lily, who attended school at Castleton Elementary.
