...a good place to live and work! Schodack is located (detailed town map) in the southwestern corner of Rensselaer County, New York. It's part of New York's Capital Region, about 15 miles by Interstate from downtown Albany.

At 63 square miles, it is the largest municipality in the county and is bounded on the north by the towns of East Greenbush and Sand Lake, on the west by the Hudson River, on the east by the Town of Nassau and on the south by Columbia County.
