The Town Hall Offices, Highway Department and the Schodack Transfer Station will be closed on Thurs, Nov 27 and Fri, Nov 28 for the Thanksgiving Holiday. The Town Hall Offices & Highway Department will resume their standard business hours Mon, Dec 1, 2014. However, the Schodack Landfill will resume its usual operating hours Sat, Nov 29. Questions? Fire Districts, generally, hold elections for one or more commissioners on a day set by law and may, during the same polling, conduct referenda on spending, bonding and other matters. This year that date is 9 December. Please see that date on Calendar Page for announcements by those districts that have requested posting to this website.
The bridge on Sweets Crossing Road in the Town of Schodack will remain closed until further notice. Please contact the Town of Schodack Highway Department with any questions.
Schodack has a population of some 12,500. At 63 square miles, it is the largest municipality in the county and is bounded on the north by the towns of East Greenbush and Sand Lake, on the west by the Hudson River, on the east by the Town of Nassau and on the south by Columbia County.
