Beth Knauf Secor was elected Supervisor in November 2003 and assumed office on January 1, 2004.


 
The Board

Schodack's charter provides for a Town Board of five members, elected at large. Its presiding officer is the Supervisor, who also directs operations of the Police, Highway, Building and Tax departments. The Board's responsibilities include the budget and the general welfare of the town. It appoints members of the Planning and Zoning Boards and the Industrial Development Agency. Generally, the Town Board meets monthly at the Town Hall (see top of this page for the next meeting or see Calendar page).


CurtisFrank Curtis wos election in November 2005. The Board had appointed Mr. Curtis in January 2005 to fill a term vacated by resignation.
Mr. Curtis has held senior managerial positions in Town and County government for many years. He is a past Chief and currently active member of the East Schodack Fire Department.

StinnerBoard member and Deputy Town Supervisor Kenneth Stinner, a resident since 1974, is a member of the South Schodack Fire Company and was for 13-years a member of the Schodack Central School System Board of Education. He maintains an interest in the schools, and Scouting, where he served as a Scoutmaster for many years. He is nominally retired after 30 years as a pharmaceutical representative.

YoungDeborah Young has served as a member of the Town Board since May 23, 2005, when the Board appointed her to fill a term vacated by resignation.

ZieglerBoard member K. Michael Ziegler is a lifelong resident of Schodack and was elected to the Town Board in 2002. He retired after 22 years with the Schodack Police Department. He is now a licensed funeral director and a medical legal death investigator for the Rensselaer County Medical Examiners Office. Mike was a member of the Town of Schodack Board of Education for 10 years. He is married and has a grown daughter who grew up in Schodack.
