Gary L. Ziegler - Building Inspector The Building Department assists residents in our town in complying with the Town Zoning codes and the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Codes. These laws are involved, contain intricate detail about some matters and can be confusing.
Dollar Tree's suspension of its application is still (4 May) in effect. Current status is unknown.

Other permits required by Zoning are reviewed by the Planning Board for compliance before permits are issued. There are many uses that require Zoning Permits and review. See the Zoning Law Chapter 219. (Link to come) If you have a project this year and are not sure if a Building Permit is required please ask the Building Department. |

Building Permits New York State Law and Town Law mandate when permits are required. For example, permits are required for: new homes, commercial buildings, additions, renovations, accessory structures, swimming pools, wood stoves, fireplaces, furnace, air conditioning installation, plumbing, etc. Please see the fee schedule for more items.
