Fingerprinting: Schodack Police provides fingerprinting service for job applications, adoptions, etc. on Fridays between 7am and 5pm. Those requesting fingerprinting services, not related to an arrest, must provide positive identification and may pay ONLY by check or money order, payable to "Town of Schodack."

Resident....$25.00 Non-Resident....$40.00

Court-related fingerprinting is done on Wednesdays nights only, after 6pm.

In an emergency, call 911 from any phone in town and you'll reach our emergency communications center. You may also call our local emergency number, 477-7611.

For NON-emergency police assistance and for routine or administrative matters, please call the Department's Front Desk, 477-7973.

How can I get a copy of a report?

If you need a copy of a motor vehicle accident report, you may come to the front desk of the police department (directions above) to request one. We recommend that you wait at least 48 hours after the accident since the report must be submitted and reviewed before it can be released. You can check whether it's available by calling the front desk at 477-7973.

Reports on other incidents can be obtained by filing a Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) request through the Town Clerk's Office at the Town Hall.
