In emergency, dial 911
JoinSchodack is protected by 8 fire companies, 5 of them strategically located inside the town. Most hold ISO PPC ratings of 6 or better. A town-wide mutual aid agreement is augmented by mutual aid agreements with neighboring municipalities and fire departments. Dispatching and other "911" services are provided by the Rensselaer County Emergency Communications Center (518-270-5052).
