The total tax warrant for the January 2012 Town and County taxes is

$14,733,372.50 of which $6,415,539.83 is allocated to the Town of Schodack, compared with $6,250,610.82 for 2011. Tax bills were received from Rensselaer County Tuesday, December 27th. All bills were mailed to the taxpayers on Friday, the 30th.

The tax office will be open during January and February, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, offering extended hours for the taxpayers' convenience on Tuesday, January 31, 2012, from 7 AM to 6PM. During, March, the office will be open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 A.M to 4:30 PM. The last day of collection will be April 2, 2012.

Total tax funds collected for 2011 amounted to $29,788,553.04. Water and sewer receipts totaled $473,667.34 for 2011.

Tax bills

Tax bills now show the date payment was received. Town and County tax bills since September 2005 can be reviewed at this site.

School Tax Payments: If your school is in the Schodack Central or East Greenbush Central School District, you can review your bill at the egov site. This office collects taxes only for the Schodack Central and East Greenbush school districts.

This office has no role in collecting Averill Park and Ichabod Crane School District taxes. However, for your convenience, they do provide tax bill information at infotaxonline. You'll find both AP and IC in the list of districts.
